Tooth Whitening
Tooth whitening treatments offer an easy way to enhance your smile and your overall appearance without extensive dental work. At our Plano office, tooth whitening has become one of our most popular cosmetic options. With our professional strength whitening products, you can safely and effectively lighten your teeth for a younger, more vibrant appearance.
We offer the Day White® tooth whitening system created by Discus Dental, a leader in the dental care industry. This product is designed to have a low risk of tooth and gum sensitivity. We offer Day White® gels with 7.5 and 9.5 percent hydrogen peroxide and a clean minty taste. These gels also contain amorphous calcium phosphate (ACP) to help reduce sensitivity.
Dr. Bosher will create a customized mouth tray for you to use with the gel for optimum results. You will wear the mouth tray with the Day White® tooth whitening gel for 30 minutes to one hour each day. Within a week, you’ll begin to see a difference, and many patients lighten their teeth by up to eight shades in about 10 days.

Invisalign® Clear Braces
We know that many of our patients are interested in straightening their teeth, but they don’t want to wear traditional metal braces. We are proud to offer orthodontic treatment with the Invisalign® system at our practice in Plano, near Richardson, Texas. Invisalign® is often referred to as clear braces because the system uses clear plastic aligners, instead of bulky metal brackets and wires, to gradually move the teeth into proper alignment. In addition to being virtually unnoticeable, Invisalign® aligners can be removed for brushing, flossing, and enjoying your favorite foods. You can even remove them for a special event.
To begin treatment with Invisalign®, Dr. Bosher will take impressions of your teeth. He will send these impressions and his detailed treatment plan to Invisalign® so that your series of customized aligners can be made. Once your aligners are ready, you will return to Dr. Bosher’s Plano office for instructions on how to use the Invisalign® system. You will wear a pair of your aligners, day and night, for two weeks and then replace them with the next pair. Over time, the aligners gradually move your teeth into proper alignment, and many patients complete treatment in less than a year.

Dental Bonding
Dental bonding offers an effective way to treat a range of dental imperfections. Bonding involves applying a tooth-colored resin material to a tooth to conceal imperfections, including chips, cracks, and discolorations which don’t respond well to tooth whitening treatments. Dental bonding can also be used to widen or lengthen a tooth and fill in gaps to create a more even smile. However, in some cases, Invisalign® may be the best option for treating gaps and misalignments.
During the dental bonding procedure, Dr. Bosher applies the resin material to the tooth and sculpts it into the desired shape. Then, a special light is used to harden the resin material, and the tooth is smoothed and polished to a natural sheen. The result of dental bonding is similar to porcelain veneers; however, bonding can be completed in a single office visit instead of two visits, as needed for veneers. Dr. Bosher can help you decide if porcelain veneers, dental bonding, tooth whitening, or another cosmetic option will best meet your needs.
Tooth-Colored Fillings
Silver amalgam fillings used to be the standard for filling cavities and repairing damaged teeth. However, amalgam fillings are easily noticeable and they darken over time, causing tooth discoloration. They also expand and contract with temperature changes, which can cause teeth to crack, and some studies seem to show a possible link to medical problems due to the mercury in the amalgam material. Dr. Bosher uses natural-looking, tooth-colored fillings which are made from a safe, resin material that can be matched to the color of your teeth for a natural appearance. If you have old silver fillings, Dr. Bosher can replace them with tooth-colored fillings.
