At the practice of Ron Bosher, D.D.S., F.A.G.D., we understand the connection between dental health and overall health, which is why we offer a range of dental health care options. By building long-term relationships with our patients, we get to know their needs and are better able to help them maintain beautiful, healthy smiles. We encourage patients from McKinney, Frisco, Richardson and throughout Texas to visit our Plano family dentistry practice regularly for professional cleanings and examinations to ensure that they keep their teeth and gums healthy for a lifetime.
Regular professional cleanings and examinations are essential to maintaining your dental health. Our hygiene department includes a group of experienced, skilled, and caring dental professionals who want to help you keep your teeth and gums healthy throughout your lifetime. Professional cleanings, at least once every six months, help remove plaque and tarter which can lead to infection, decay, and tooth loss if not removed regularly.
Individuals in Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Richardson, and surrounding communities in Texas can visit our family dentistry practice for thorough and effective dental examinations. Dr. Bosher uses the latest technologies to make sure patients receive the best care possible. The DIAGNOdent® laser cavity detector can find small areas of decay before they are visible to the naked eye. It allows Dr. Bosher to prevent small cavities from developing into larger problems that would need extensive dental work to repair. He also uses digital x-rays which produce 90 percent less radiation than traditional x-rays, and generate high-quality digital images almost immediately so there is no wait. During the examination, Dr. Bosher will also check for signs of periodontal (gum) disease, one of the leading causes of tooth loss.
Statistics show that as many as three out of every four adults suffer from some form of periodontal (gum) disease. Periodontal disease is an infection of the gum tissues that, if not treated, can lead to tooth loss.
Some of the common signs of periodontal disease include:
We check for signs of periodontal disease during your regular examinations at our family dentistry practice. If we find infection, Dr. Bosher will recommend a course of treatment, which may include antibiotic medications, deep cleanings, and non-surgical periodontal treatment. We will set up a treatment regimen to help restore health to your teeth and gums.
Even if it’s been awhile since your last cleaning and examination, we will help you feel at ease so that you can receive the care you need to keep your teeth healthy and beautiful. Moving to a new city is never easy... finding new Drs to take care of you? Oh, that is a whole other ball game! After only knowing one other dentist in the past, ahhh 30+ years, and needing to find a new one, it was the best experience one could have going to the dentist. Friendly, welcoming, thoughtful staff supported by friendly, welcoming, thoughtful Drs. What a blessing! Thank you all for your time and help today.

I really like that the staff was a friendly and jovial staff. The doctor and the hygienist were both caring and concerned that I not have to endure any unnecessary discomfort or pain. I am a big baby when it comes to mouth pain, which is probably the main reason I don't go to the dentist as often as I should. However I am beginning to see that not all dentists are rough and tuff get the job done type dentist. This makes me very happy and more willing to see the dentist/hygienist more frequently. Thank you for your patience, kindness and caring.
