Technological advances are changing dentistry for doctors and patients alike. By enhancing dentists’ diagnostic and treatment capacities, these technologies allow dentists to provide dental care that exceeds patients’ expectations. Ron Bosher, D.D.S., F.A.G.D., is pleased to use some of the most sophisticated equipment on the market, including CADENT iTero™ digital impressions, digital x-rays, DIAGNOdent® laser cavity detection, and CEREC® technology. This state-of-the-art equipment allows him to provide beautiful CEREC® restorations and other treatments for patients in the Plano, Metrocrest, Frisco, McKinney, and Richardson, Texas areas. Whether you are seeking cosmetic dentistry, restorative dentistry, or another treatment, you can rest assured that you are receiving highly advanced care at our practice.
We are pleased to provide CEREC® technology at our office, serving the Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Richardson, and Metrocrest, Texas, areas. This technology allows Dr. Bosher to craft beautiful all-porcelain dental crowns and porcelain veneers in just one hour, so patients do not have to wear temporaries or wait a week or more for laboratory-crafted restorations. Instead, they can have their tooth restoration created, fitted, and placed in the same office visit. Considering the beauty and convenience of CEREC® restorations, it is no wonder that patients from North Dallas, Texas and nearby areas seek our CEREC® services.
To begin the CEREC® process at our office in Plano, Dr. Bosher administers a local anesthetic, if needed. Next, he removes any decayed or weak tooth structure. Then he makes a digital impression of the tooth, which the CEREC® machine uses to craft the restoration while the patient relaxes in the dentist’s chair. When the restoration is ready – usually in about an hour – Dr. Bosher places it, assures it fits with the surrounding teeth and bite, and polishes it to a shine. The final result is virtually undetectable from the surrounding natural teeth.
The benefits of CEREC® restorations have many of our patients from Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Metrocrest, Richardson, and areas throughout North Dallas, Texas, raving. In addition to providing single-visit crowns and veneers, CEREC® restorations look amazingly natural, since they are made of the finest, all-porcelain dental materials. The CEREC® process preserves as much of the natural tooth structure as possible, and it can be used to treat multiple teeth at once.
For situations in which a restoration needs to be made at a dental laboratory instead of with the CEREC® system, our Plano office provides CADENT iTero™ technology for digital impressions. It helps make receiving laboratory-crafted dental crowns and dental bridges easier and more efficient than ever before. Instead of using messy, gooey trays, CADENT iTero™ technology provides a digital, 3-D impression of a patient’s teeth and bite. The dentist then transmits these impressions via a wireless Internet connection to a CADENT laboratory, where technicians craft the restoration. Since technicians can take such precise impressions, the restorations not only look beautiful, but fit well, so patients seldom have to make return visits to have their restorations refitted.

Digital x-rays are one of the most powerful diagnostic tools in modern medicine, since they allow dentists to detect hidden problems in the teeth and gums without exposing patients to excessive radiation. Instead of using photo film and bite trays, digital x-rays use digital sensors to record images of the teeth and mouth. These images are projected immediately onto a computer screen for the dentist to view. The digital images are extremely detailed, and provide a view of the entire facial structure.
Dr. Bosher is proud to offer his patients the benefits of laser dentistry, including the removal of fever blisters and early detection of cavities using advanced laser technology.
Dr. Bosher has been providing laser treatment of herpetic blisters, also known as cold sores or fever blisters, for more than 20 years. He uses the highly effective Nd:YAG laser to remove these blisters from around the mouth and lips in a simple office procedure. Treatment helps the blister disappear quickly and offers immediate pain relief. Patients are often pleased that the sores never reappear in the area treated with the laser.
DIAGNOdent® technology detects cavities hidden far below the tooth’s surface. This early detection allows Dr. Bosher to treat the cavity before it progresses and causes further decay. With DIAGNOdent®, there is no poking or prodding with metal instruments; instead, the laser scans the teeth in just a few minutes and highlights decayed tissue on a computer screen. This allows Dr. Bosher to provide traditional or tooth-colored fillings to prevent further tooth decay.
We are pleased to offer CEREC® restorations and other technology to our patients from Plano, Metrocrest, Frisco, McKinney, Richardson, and surrounding North Dallas, Texas areas. To learn more about our dental technologies or to schedule a consultation, contact our cosmetic dentistry office today.

Dear Dr. Bosher,
It was a privilege to watch your team and benefit from your expertise. Also, it was good to have Melissa on board. She took me back to observe the creation process. She’s an artist, lovingly shaping and polishing the finished pieces.
Dr. Bosher, the photo of your work is not on my desk, truly amazing but not for the desktop. My regret is that it’s not my two front teeth. They’re too pretty to be in back, but I’ll put them to good use. And 600 years from now, someone will see the results of your good work and say “WOW.”
Thanks,
Carolyn B.
